Through BS ENVIRONNEMENT, BEC FRERES is developing a highly successful industrial activity: the sorting, packaging and recovery of household waste.

Founded in 1998 on the Grézan industrial park in Nîmes, BS ENVIRONNEMENT processes selectively sorted waste, i.e. clean, dry waste that has been pre-sorted by local authorities.

The development of selective sorting has led to the centre's rapid expansion, with significant increases in the quantities of waste to be processed. Currently, the company has a capacity of 12 tonnes/hour (35,000 tonnes/year) and over 300,000 inhabitants in the greater Nîmes area, which amounts to 0.5% of the French population, benefit from its services.
